Kristy Jaden is a sarcastic, short-tempered college student, studying literature in London. Being forced to participate in an out of school activity, outside of being wholed up in her dorm all night and day reading and blogging, she decides to take on a brand new idea- Guitar lessons.

Niall Horan is an arrogant, smart-ass, over-confident musician, who happens to also be a member of the biggest boy band in the world, One Direction. Being forced by managment to get a job after their big world tour, Niall grudgingly applies for a job down at the local music store, giving private guitar lessons.

Being forced to cooperate with each other, Niall and Kristy try to get along, try to get past their clashing personalities.

Although he may be completely arrogant and snarky, Kristy can't help but notice the little things about him that really change her perspective towards him. Is he really as bad as she thought?

Although she may be very 'difficult' and hard to work with, Niall starts to notice things that he didn't before. Does he even know her at all? Is there more to her than meets the eye?
