This is simply a Smiling Critters AU, I can't write that well so let's hope it goes well 4 this. idk how frequent I'll update this so...bare with me:3.
I don't really know how else to describe it, but the AU is as Follows.
This takes place strictly in the cartoon version and nothing else beyond that, it takes place a few days after CatNap put the Critters to sleep with his smoke and him betraying them by meeting Proto.

Hullo! This is my first story to be published and I honestly don't expect it to be read. This is a random AU I thought of and wrote within five days. Five days of which I should have been studying for finals. The story is completed so I am literally just copy-pasting it here. Don't expect nice chapter lengths. Smiling Critters: A Turn To The Story.
During The Hour Of Joy, DogDay finds himself trapped in a real nightmare; being imprisoned by CatNap and tortured for years. He never knew what became of his friends. He never knew if they really died, as CatNap told him numerous times during his torture, or if they managed to escape his clutches. DogDay believes his destiny is already written; He was going to die there, immersed in the uncertainty and pain of torture, unable to escape that hell where he was placed by the friend he respected the most. Everything will be solved with the arrival of a savior. Some angels who came from heaven and that will change the story we all know. (NOTES) -This story is just an alternate version of the true story. It includes my own theories, too. If there's any disagreement, you can argue it as long as it is respectful. -I do not support any type of ships in this fanfic, since the relationships between the characters are rather different types of friendship, enemies, or maybe platonic feelings. When ''The Smiling Critters'' got added into playcare, there were only seven of them: Hoppy Hopscotch, Kickin Chickin, Crafty Corn, Bobby Bearhug, Bubba Bubbaphant, Picky Piggy, and DogDay. Before they got added into Playcare, they went through a series of tests to check if they really got what it takes to take care of children in an orphanage. After a few weeks of getting used to eachother, they heard the intercom turn on with a man behind it telling everyone that the ''Smiling Critters'' was a HUGE success, and that they have an announcement to make to all of them. ...And what they heard shocked them all... So with the two new scents of Lavender and Valerian. Will they all get along?
