Lara Carter wants nothing to do with the war. With her older brother off serving for king and country, she's forced to take up his responsibilities. One day, a German plane is shot down near her family's home. Its pilot, Otto Koch, is disillusioned with the Nazi regime and all that it stands for. Lara must now take it upon herself to nurse him back to health, and it's only then that the two of them realize that they may have more in common than they previously thought.
