Betty and Jughead are on their way to a celebration for the Serpents at the Whyte Wyrm, when a drunk driver sideswipes them causing them to crash. Betty ends up unconscious and Jughead has to take her to the hospital. After several hours, Betty wakes up with amnesia. She can't remember anything except for who Jughead is. Will she ever remember the rest of her life? Or is she doomed for a life of amnesia?

Then one day Betty came home from school and found her dad passed out on the couch whilst her mum was still at work. He had overdosed and Betty was the one that found him.
