A few seasons ago, I participated in NaNoWriMo with the goal of writing a story a day for the entire month of November. I was able to do this and ended up with well over 50,000 words for the month.  This book ended up with around 43K words, but it is missing a few stories.  I didn't want to put anything that goes with "Pearls of the Mother" in the "Illogies."  Each day I sat down to write, I had a different mood or something else I was thinking about, and I let that guide my writing process.  I think a couple of these may end up with follow-on stories or maybe even books of their own.  I hope you enjoy these; I know I do.All Rights Reserved

My Kingdom Come Book 1: The Saints We See (Complete) by ShadOLeerie

Do your genes, your parents, teachers, or your master determine who you will be in life? Can they set your value in the universe? 650 years ago the known species of the universe came together and signed the Alliance, a document that would help each race find its place in the universe. It granted freedom to some and the scant protection of slavery to others. Into this society a handful of children are born who will change it forever, if they can survive to adulthood. Here is the origin story of two of those children. Hathu is born to a man determined to make the universe bow to him and his species. Since he learned to talk, Hathu has been a disappointment to his father. He doesn't want to become a warrior, and he refuses to assert his dominance. When he accidentally overhears his father plotting against the Ir'Klahn empire, can Hathu stop him? Mik is born with no rights, destined to become a lifelong slave. His mother tries to protect him from this fate by running away and finding a home for them on a trading ship that travels from world to world. They are safe for now, but how long can they hide from the best trackers in the universe? This is the first book in the My Kingdom Come series. (An adventure in High Fantasy, Magic, Dragons, MuseFic, Meta, and other fancy things.) ~*~*~*~*~ This is the daily(ish) posting of my 2017 NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) fantasy novel. Since last year worked out well, this year's attempt will also be a combination of MuseFic and proper rough draft. The story will be completed at the end of November... even if the story isn't really complete! ;)

The Hawaiian Special Forces by WingedPanther73

This is the story I'm writing for NaNoWriMo 2015. The goal: 50,000 word RAW draft written entirely in the month of November. Unlike most of my stories, which I prefer to edit before posting, I'm actually going to post updates to this at the end of each day in chapter-sized chunks. The idea behind this story is that a terrorist attack in the near future causes the US to go hyper-isolationist, to the point that it abandons Hawaii and Alaska to fend for themselves. They do, forming the United Pacific States (maybe with a few other island countries). Hawaii then goes on to turn itself into the new world police with stealthy, genetically modified cyber-soldiers. I'm marking this story as mature because there will be action scenes, and probably some interesting perspectives on nudity and relationships. I'm not planning on anything explicit, but this won't be a kids book. Validated winner at 50,040 words!

30 Days, 30 Stories: A Writing Challenge by stvnlra

This is a 30 day writing challenge, a collection of short stories. I've always been a world class procrastinator. The goal of this challenge is to get me writing regularly and, hopefully, break me of the perfectionist thinking that often paralyses me. The Rules: 1. Write and publish 1 short story (flash fic, vignette) per day for 30 days. 2. Stories must be at least 100 words. 3. They can be of any genre or subject matter. Like a lot of writers I have notebooks lying around full of random story ideas. Most of my older ideas are for novels and screenplays. Been going thru my old ideas and picking out the ones I think lend themselves to the short story format. I'm also working on coming up with NEW ideas that I can use here. Never been good at using prompts, but this is a good opportunity to experiment with those. All the stories here are original works written specifically for this challenge. This is just a collection of short stories I'm writing everyday and to hold myself accountable to actually do it I'm posting them here, pretty much just putting it in the universe. Not exactly sure what you should expect seeing as I'm just choosing a random prompt everyday and just writing. But, here it goes.

Also, I may or may not do the 2024 ones too >:). oh yeah, also I guess these counts as one-shots. also TW on each prompt, nothing too scary (probably) also, except major difference to @JacarandaAxolotl477's Monster Month, I am doing 2023 AND 2024 (NOT) mostly daily because I am insane. I'd like it to be noted that I began this about September, on a Saturday, at an ungodly hour when I decided to be ambitious. Past me did not plan to keep going through with this into February (nearly March)

The prompt list belongs to Chewyguts on instagram! Is it meant to be fanfic? No. Is it meant to be November? Also no! But screw it ima do it! My goal is going to be 300-500 words per chapter so it will be more like drabbles but it will help me complete to goal of one a day! If Chewyguts or any dsmp member says their uncomfortable with anything in this book I will take down the chapter or edit it! (And yes I know November only have 30 days. If you've never read my other stories, it is very in style for me to not do a happy ending 😌)
