* Hi there! Welcome to my one-shot book for the smiling critters! here I'll do x readers and such of catnap, dog day and the others from poppy playtime! even may do ocs, depending on what their personality is! Also, I'm really good i hope at doing dog day and catnap, so those are the main ones i'll probably be doing. also feel free to request anything as long as it isn't lemons... because I'm going to do both cartoon vers and bigger bodies. (AU of course is them being over the age of 18, but still). so yea! i plan on doing angst, fluff, and all that (except lemons ofc).

"Dogday says... fetch!" You were always fond of the canine of the Smiling Critters, and guess who was lucky enough to meet them in person? It was like a dream come true! That was... a century ago, give or take a few years. Today, after the rebuilding of Playtime Co., you find yourself working at the dastard establishment itself (involuntarily at that). To this day, there are still a rise of missing person cases, from what? We don't know. From who? We also don't know... All we know is that it serves nothing other than to mar the company's reputation and credibility. But wait, who's that you see in Playcare...? [A fun, silly, goofy little tale between DogDay and you; Reader!] (UPDATED) *TMI, I have seen a few snippets of gameplay from Chap 3 of the game itself, but here's what may happen in this fanfic... - majority of events will be based on my own creativity - if anything here is inaccurate, please don't instigate me (I'm sensitive pls don't) - It is implied in the story that Playtime Co. wasn't exactly the safest, for lore purposes - (SPOILER) Dogday losing his legs like in Chapter 3 of the game will never have happened here - NO SMUT! Eclipse 2: In First Contact, we'll be following Sergio and Dogday as he tells him the story of Happy Hyena and what it was like living with him from the start. At the same time, something within Playcare is hiding, and it may or may not get discovered... This is a DogDay x CatNap fanfic. A Puppy's Dream Shield
When ''The Smiling Critters'' got added into playcare, there were only seven of them: Hoppy Hopscotch, Kickin Chickin, Crafty Corn, Bobby Bearhug, Bubba Bubbaphant, Picky Piggy, and DogDay. Before they got added into Playcare, they went through a series of tests to check if they really got what it takes to take care of children in an orphanage. After a few weeks of getting used to eachother, they heard the intercom turn on with a man behind it telling everyone that the ''Smiling Critters'' was a HUGE success, and that they have an announcement to make to all of them. ...And what they heard shocked them all... So with the two new scents of Lavender and Valerian. Will they all get along? ''They should not have any memory of the procedure, but everything before that is still intact'' ''But we must forge onwards in the name of science'' ''Weather those who are beneath us understand it or not, END OF-'' I don't own any characters mentioned in this story except for my own oc just to make that clear. Dogdays new life.
Leaving off with the small critters leaving out of dogdays dismembered body. Catnap appears, looking down at the dog, before invading the room with his signature red smoke. Dogday; battered,traumatized, dismembered body finally relaxes after many years. Falling into a deep slumber he hopes he never wakes up from... that's until he opens his eyes to find out he's inside the smile critters t.v show! What will dogday do once he sees the oh so familiar Purple feline again?

(NEW DESCRIPTION) CatNap is a shy yet inside cat, he never usually tells anyone else. Anything. Ever since 'The Hour of Joy' and Player moving in. Which really he never understood how- this place has been less gloomy when he came here.. but besides that, DogDay, One of the smiling critters, suddenly started talking with him. Giving him comfort... He doesn't know what this feeling is.. Why is he suddenly being nice and kind to him then the rest of the smiling critters. Can this be ever explained? ....pls. The Moon to His Sun
There has only been 7 smiling critters in the neighborhood: DogDay the self imposed leader. Bubba Bubbaphant the genius. Kicken Chicken the Daredevil. Hoppy Hopscotch the second Daredevil. CraftyCorn the artist. PickyPiggy the chef. Bobby Bearhug the therapist. There has always been 3 boys and 4 girls. They always easily outvote the boys whenever they want to do something different. One day a construction crew appears in the neighborhood and builds a new house that resembles a scratching post for a cat. Then a moving truck comes and puts boxes in the home. It's been 3 weeks and no sign of the new addition to the neighborhood. Everyone is getting impatient especially DogDay.
