Wings of Fire: Lost in Time

Moon and Carnelian looked down at the third egg with an expression of heartbreak on their faces.

Their third magically created dragonet ... didn't even take a breath before they left the egg. She was dead.

"Moon," Carnelian nudged, a rare harsh sadness showing in her raw voice. "I think now is time to use the amulet."

Ever since Moon saved Carnelian from that deadly explosion, the two have grown close over their childhood and finally realized their feelings for each other. After many explorative travels and with bundles of treasures, they decide it's time to settle down for a family... but their dream doesn't go as planned.

Two of their magically induced dragonets, Redsky and Moonpounce, are delightfully healthy and normal. The third is born dead before anyone can do anything. But there's a way to bring her back... involving a dangerous cursed amulet. When used, poor Sparkheart only disappears from sight.

But little does anyone know, she's alive.

Her parents never told the amulet which timeline they wanted their dragonet to be alive in.

"Darkstalker," Sparkheart breathed, excitement coursing her veins. "You could do more than that - you could send me back!"

"I could ... but I won't." He said, still stone-faced.

"But I did what Clearsight said I would! I've helped you!" She protested.

"And you'll stay here to help me more. I've realized how much we'll need you, Spark. And all this time you've dreamed about going back to them... why not bring them here?"
