At Chicago Med, life and death decisions are made in seconds, but some scars run deeper than what a scalpel can mend. Dr. Connor Rhodes, a brilliant and compassionate trauma surgeon, is no stranger to the intense pressures of the emergency room. Yet, when Dr. Grace Chen arrives his new partner in surgery, he finds himself facing a challenge he never expected-one of the heart.

Grace Chen is a mystery to her new colleagues. Talented, driven, and seemingly unshakable, she quickly earns the respect of the entire hospital. But beneath her composed exterior lies a woman desperate to escape the shadows of her past. As she buries herself in her work, striving to start fresh in a city where no one knows her name, she can't help but be drawn to Connor's warmth and resilience.

As the two navigate the high-stakes world of medicine, their connection becomes impossible to ignore. But Grace's past is never far behind, threatening to unravel the new life she's fought so hard to build. Can Connor break through her defenses and help her heal, or will the secrets she's running from destroy any chance of love before it even begins?

But scars remained. Scars on her back and scattered over her extremities turned men off from her. Still she continued on, becoming an OT and working under the doctor who helped her she changed the lives of many others like herself. That's when she meets Mark, who gives her the biggest challenge yet. A chance at love...but he's her patient. A big no-no in the medical world.
