I was running from the memory of my father when I met her. She took me in, taught me things, and for a few sweet moments she was like a sister to me. But she had dark secrets, and a dark past that changed me.
I was running from my past when I met her. I took her in, I taught her things, and for a few sweet moments she was like a sister to me. But i have too many demons, and i cant love anyone, not after him.
I was running from her when i met him. He was an annoying ass that almost grew on me. But i have too many demons, and I can't love anyone, not after her.
I was running from my prison when i met him. I tagged along, I annoyed him, and I began to look up to him. But he had dark secrets, and a dark past that changed me.

Astren City, and all surrounding area, have the highest crime rate in the northern part of the country. The fact that his ex-boyfriend comes from a notorious crime family, and has been arrested several times by Jack's own department, doesn't matter. Salem's passed that, he's over Atlas Marino and he always will be. He will ignore that scratch in his record, and cover it up with his success. Salem is offered a job to help with an investigation that could benefit his future career astronomically. He thinks it's a win-win situation, he gets the recognition he desires, and the streets will be that much safer. It's all black and white to him, easy to understand. He likes the order, and he craves the accomplishment of defeating bad with good. It's all black and white. Until he gets caught in the grey.
