Lumen's Awakening

Lumen Smith, a teenager from Auburn, Maine, is raised by her nursemaid, Claudia, while her neglectful parents focus on their middle-class lives. As her 18th birthday approaches, Lumen discovers she is to be forcibly married to the son of a wealthy family to save her parents from financial ruin. Shortly after, she learns she is a werewolf, a revelation that changes her life forever. With Claudia's help, Lumen plans to escape. However, tragedy strikes when Claudia is killed by Lumen's parents during their escape, leaving Lumen to make her escape alone. On her way, she meets Ryan, another werewolf who is on his way to Canada where a community of werewolves reside, Lumen decides to join him. Along the journey, Ryan teaches Lumen how to embrace her true heritage.
