Adam has always been in his sister's shadow. She was an overachiever while Adam just wanted to enjoy his life. Unfortunately for him, his parents looked down on him for it and constantly reminded him how much better Meghan was than him which only doubled when she became a Navy Seal. So, when Adam finally turned 18, he enlisted in the Navy to become a Navy Seal in the hopes that his parents would finally be proud of him. But, predictably, they were not. Adam having had enough, cut contact with his family and focused on becoming the best Navy Seal he could be.
