The Conjuring 2: Alternative Reality
In 1977, the Hodgson family begins experiencing something impossible inside their small home in Enfield, London. Furniture moves on its own, knocks echo from empty rooms, and twelve-year-old Janet Hodgson wakes in places she does not remember going, also speaking in a voice that does not belong to her.
What begins as strange disturbances soon becomes something far more dangerous, drawing the attention of paranormal investigators, Ed and Lorraine Warren.
Back home in Connecticut, their son, Daniel Warren, has begun experiencing his own paranormal events that seem to follow him wherever he goes. Shadows move through the house. Voices whisper his name from empty rooms, and his constant nightmares become impossible to separate from reality.
It was at that point that Daniel slowly begins to realise that whatever is tormenting him may be connected to something his parents have encountered before, or at least one of them.
When the activity becomes too dangerous to ignore, Daniel leaves America with his parents, travelling to Enfield in the hopes of escaping whatever has attached itself to him.
But instead, he walks directly into another nightmare.
As Daniel becomes close to Janet and the rest of the Hodgson family, the disturbances inside their home grow increasingly violent. What first appears to be the spirit of an old man may only be hiding something far more sinister. And the darkness haunting Enfield seems strangely interested in Daniel.
With himself and his parents fighting to save Janet, Daniel must confront the terrifying possibility that the entity followed him across the Atlantic for a reason.
And this time, it may not be Janet Hodgson it truly wants.
