*Marvin's Room*, drama centered around two estranged sisters, Bessie and Lee The story begins when Bessie, who has been caring for their bedridden father Marvin for 20 years and taking care of her past relationship partners only daughter Dominique, is diagnosed with leukemia. In desperate need of a bone marrow transplant, Bessie reaches out to Lee, who she hasn't seen in years, hoping that she or her children might be compatible donors.
Hank, one of Lee's teenage son. He's a troubled young man who has had a difficult relationship with his mother and struggles with anger and rebellious behavior.
