Heronkit, Doekit, and Bearkit are relatively average clanmates, they've just got an adopted littermate who is much older than them, otherwise, they're pretty normal. After devastating damage to the clan multiple times, these kittens must survive in a world very foreign to their previous. There's a dark secret hiding in the marshes, which if not revealed may be the destruction of all those the kittens love.

Rockpaw feels like an outcast, everyday being hated on by his Clanmates for seeing things differently. So when the chance to prove them wrong comes up, he doesn't give it a second thought. But the evil still resides, and Rockpaw might know more about it then he's letting on, even to himself. Greyshard, as a former kittypet, has always thought of life in the Clans as challenging. For her, everything seems to go wrong. Every plan, every schedule, every patrol - ends up in a disaster, and its always because of her.
