Annie Lee Meadows's 21st birthday was supposed to be one to remember.

A new city, new college, new job, new friends . . . and her high school BFF and crush, Bea Baker. What could go wrong . . . A whole lot apparently. Annie is thrown full force into the turmoil of the supernatural side of San Toros, when she is killed and wakes the following sunset, changed. And it turns out Bea's side hustle, is dealing with entities of the myst, like her. To make matters worse, Annie's been accused of murder. Breaking a treaty. And multiple factions are out for blood.

Annie is a dead girl walking. And for better or worse, her and Bea are stuck together. Huntee and hunter. Leech and Stake. So hopefully, they can find a way to make it until sunrise. Or at least kiss.
