Maria Francis was an average eight-teen old girl who graduated high school just this past June. She had been accepted to go to the University of Bluesvil, Georgia, in the fall and was saving up money to go. One night, she was watching "The Phantom of the Opera" by Andrew Lloyd Webber. She made a wish after watching the movie, then went to bed. When she woke up, she wasn't in her room. Now she works as a cleaning-lady and a cook at the Opera Populaire in Paris, France and has been writing short stories about her life called, "The Advancers of Ann FrankCo" for the paper. So what happens when Maria becomes friends with a mysterious man named Erik Destler? And what happens when a certain Opera Ghost is roaming around his opera house one night? 

A/N: Hey guys! This is my first Phantom of the Opera story. It is mainly based on the movie by Andrew Lloyd Webber, but 1: I will be adding Nadir Khan, Philippe DeChangy (Maybe) and some of my own characters. And 2: There are going to be different events from the movie. I don't know if there is a University of Bluesvil in Georgia or not. I just made it up. So if there is, I didn't know and more power to them. Also, I do not own the cover. The rights to the cover belong to the one who made it. This is my first story writing on my phone so you'll have to excuse my spelling errors. This is a Phantom of the Opera x oc. There was young girl who was studying to ballet who went to a traveling fair. Her group was guided to a tent that had "The Devil's Child" in a cage. The worker took the bag off the poor boy's face to show the his face was deformed. The boy being around the young girl's age. The worker began to beat the boy as everyone laughed and had fun. Everyone but the young girl. Once the show was over, everyone started to leave, including the young girl. But she stopped to look back at the boy only to see him strangling the worker from behind with a rope. She hurried over and help the boy out of the cage as an angry mob started, calling the boy "murderer". The young girl hurried out with the mob following. She went over to the Opera House and opened a secret entrance for the boy to enter before running to the doors and went in. She made her way below the Opera House and found the boy where she left him and grabbed his hand, dragging him further and hiding him from the cruel world. This young girl was me. Roxanne Daae. Older sister to Christine Daae. And this is the story of how I fell in love with the Phantom of the Opera.

The Opera Ghost by MElizabethBlair

Eighteen-year-old Christine is a singer in the Paris Opera. A strange man is watching her behind her dressing room and wants her to be his wife. He tricks her into believing that he is an angel from heaven, the Angel of Music. Eighteen-year-old Raoul is in love with her, but marriage is frowned upon because of the class difference between them. He is from minor royalty and she is from a poor family. He is suspicious of this "angel" and tries to rescue Christine from him when he kidnaps her and takes her to his home in the caverns underneath the opera house. This is my adaptation of the original book "The Phantom of the Opera" by Gaston Leroux. The book is now in the Public Domain. I have edited it for grammar and deleted a few parts that didn't contribute much to the story. I also changed the ending a bit. The illustrations are original pen and ink drawings by me. The story is not a "great romance," like the publicity from the stage play would like you to think. It is more of a crime/mystery/detective story.

What happens on this hunting trip changes his path in life forever. Sidney POV When I first had the idea for this story, I pictured a bear attacking Sidney. But doing research I found that bears are not common wild animals in England. I'm American and live in a state where bears are common. In doing research, I found that in the regency era there were wild cats that were referred to as phantom cats, panthers, jaguars, or leopards. Although, some accounts claim there is no such thing and stories were exaggerated. Anyway, for story purposes, this phantom cat exists. I know it may not sound realistic, but as I said before, there were stories about these wild cats in some of my research. I also came across stories of the aristocratic and higher class bringing these exotic animals to England to show off and look grander to others. It reminded me of someone purchasing a dog as a puppy, thinking it'll be great. Then months later realizing these cute puppies grow up and destroy your home and chew everything up. I pictured a rich woman insisting she have one of these pure black cats on one of her many voyages to far off lands and her rich husband buying her the exotic animal. Then as this cat grew and suddenly the realization that it's a wild animal and could potentially kill someone, these high society people may just decide to let the animal go in the woods to fend for himself. Now this cat is alone in a land he doesn't belong and trying to survive, perhaps resenting man for the cruel way he was treated. Now I feel sorry for the panther. Anyway, that's the backstory on the panther and why it may be in a place it's not supposed to be.
