According to the Bureau of Afterlife Guidance, every cat is afforded nine lives. The origin of this policy is as ancient and mysterious as the Gatekeepers who enact it, but the oldest regulations often have the broadest loopholes. Partially on purpose and mostly out of spite, one otherwise typical and unassuming calico would casually stroll into them on her merry way to becoming the most troublesome soul in Bureau history. This is the story of Elizabeth Faucett and the far-flung adventures of her nine lives, scattered throughout centuries and across untold worlds of myth and magic.
