As the wheel of time ticks by after the corruption, and peace settles over Uskara, Orym Branyn must begin his journey to join his soul. All goes to plan, the ceremony, and the days following. Until Orym and an unknown man are expelled from his tree with a message from the goddess, Mirith.
They must prevent a poison that threatens the life of Uskara, and the imprisonment of the deity Ubium, the one responsible for the Corruption and near extinction of man. But travelling North will be harder than it seems, some aren't so willing to believe in the gods, nor to help passing strangers, especially amidst those who wield magic and those who hunt it. Caught up in a web of death and destruction, can they make it to the poison in time, and cure it, before all of Uskara falls?
