(Ambiguous 1st person short story: meaning it uses we and us)

We were cursed with enhancements in a world of technology and mundanes who wanted to know everything. 

We were the perfect experiment.

This was the world we lived in. Was it not? Humanity was nothing in comparison to the greed of knowledge and prestige. Who wouldn't want to be the one to reduce the enhancement's threats, as they called us, or to find cures.

How did we end up in the laboratory? The people who birthed us were now filthy rich. It's one way of saying it.

How was it in the laboratory? Fine, can't complain. There was only the constant pain from the blood that oozed out. Sometimes it was taken in tubes, you could see them take it away. Other times it decorated the walls. Also they sedated us, another experiment. The one to make us powerless. They failed each time but a side effect was that we were constantly drowsy. 

This time they messed up.

Only being called once a month to get injected with some odd stuff. Other than those monthly visits, and some superhuman capabilities, she was a normal girl. She lived with her loving parents and had friends, she went to school and played games with her friends. She had no idea what the bad end of the experiments were like. But when she finds out about the experiments done on EX-1220059 she makes a choice that turns the world upside down for both her and EX-1220059.

' "What was that sound!!" Mr Katz shouts, then stops dead as he sees the panel of light. "What?" he whispers, then walks towards it and stares at it. "I don't know what happened sir!!" Farren shouts, wiping her tears. "We pulled the levers and the whole room seemed to explode!" "This.. this is amazing!" Mr Katz whispers, walking closer to the light. "Children, you've made a groundbreaking discovery! I can't say for certain what it is, but we need to call someone right away!" He turns around and faces us. "Your going to go down in history kids! I can't believe you actually-" Before he can finish his sentence six thick orange arms reach out of the hole and grab him at a sickening speed. He doesn't even have time to blink before the arms squeeze and his whole body explodes. Guts and blood shower the room and we all scream in horror. We run towards the door but all of a sudden the floor seemingly gives way into a bright blue nothingness and the room shimmers away around us. We fall. ' Europa follows a group of teenagers/aspiring scientists who accidentally open a portal to another world, becoming trapped there. They must race against time to make it home, save themselves and their planet before the natural elements or horrifying other worldly creatures take them out.

this story is about a scientist in Antarctica slowly losing his sanity I can feel the corners of my lips tug upwards and before I know it, I'm cackling. My laughter rings through the empty room, bouncing off the walls as I double over in hysterics. Despite the dire situation, I can't seem to stop. With each passing second, my giggles become more uncontrollable, more manic. As I catch my breath, I try to reassure myself. "Everything will be fine," I tell myself, punctuating my sentence with another bout of laughter. "Because, because!" I repeat, and my voice breaks into another round of giggles. But soon, my mirth turns to misery as my laughter becomes sobs. I collapse on my hands and knees, tears streaming down my face until they blur my vision. The tears burn my skin, adding to my anguish. I can't even cry in peace, can't even surrender to my despair without feeling physical pain. "Oh god, I ruin everything Johnny- I'm sorry!" I cry out, my voice cracking. "I'm supposed to keep care of you and I'm sorry! I'm so sorry Johnny!" I scream, pounding my fists on the cold, hard floor in frustration. It's no use. Nothing can save me. I feel my tears freezing on my face and I quickly dry them with the back of my hand. I crawl over to the fire, seeking warmth and comfort. But there's no comfort to be found.

They used my vulnerability against me. They used that weapon, to make me accept their stupid idea. And I of course, accepted it, I didn't even know what they were going to do. They tugged and poked and even shoved their disgusting finger in your wound, just to see you cry. To see you change. No pitty in their eyes. They just continue. They drag you around with metal chains, hit you and turn you into a experiment. But I had enough of the tugging, the clawing, the moaning, the crying and pleading for them to stop, but simply feeding them with our pain. They turned me into something, that neither do they know what I am. Their afraid of me, of my reflexes, my strength. I killed a lot of them. They say I have a cold heart, that I don't feel nothing. Number Five took Number Seventeen to an alternate dimension while they were trying to escape from the lab. But, when Number Five returned, Number Seventeen had not. While Number Five wanted his friend back, he had other business to take care of. Him and his "assistant", Number Nine, took an attempt to slaughter everyone who worked or currently works at the lab, but it's really hard to do that when Number Two, Number Fives brother, and Number Ten try to stop you before the others find out. Q&A Q - How old are you? A - 14 as of right now Q - is Five a copy of the Umbrella Academy's Five? A - Absolutely not. Maybe a few personality traits are similar, and their names are the same, but they look nothing a like and they have way different backgrounds and stories. Also, I knew Five was going to be more of the main character, so I named him after my favorite number. Q - Did you copy the Umbrella Academy's name? A - No, but after watching the Umbrella Academy, I searched up what an academy was. After finding out with it truly means, I thought it fitted perfectly with the name of the school Five came from in the book. Q - Why are some of the numbers not mentioned in the book as much as the others? A - In books as well as movies and tv shows, characters are chosen to be the main characters, secondary characters, background characters, and so on. I couldn't have all 17 of them be the main characters. It would be way too much to focus on. So, that's why I mainly focus on Five, Nine, Ten, Two, and Eleven in this book. Q - is there a sequel? A - Yes! It is currently in production right now! Unlike this book, I'm going to write all of the chapters first and then publish it, so please be patient!
