Mistake; That is what Isla Blair believes high school was for her. A big, fat, lousy waste of time. When you're rich and part of the populars, it's hard to be true to yourself when you're constantly being judged and undermined by your supposed friends. As Isla Blair makes her way through the catty hallways of Brownsworth Academy she portrays one image on the outside while keeping another side to herself, full of secret talents and secret habits. But, before long, Isla strikes a deal with a record company and finally moves away from the inevitable future she saw for herself in Long Island, New York. As she settles in to her new life in Los Angeles, Isla meets the infamous bad boy, Jake Crawsen, and discovers he isn't as bad as the tabloids make him out to be. The two become fast friends as they spend evenings working together and getting to know one another. But Isla isn't opening up to him like he wants so Jacob makes it his mission to understand Isla if it's the last thing he does.
