"I don't need to sleep with a guy to make him talk."

Sebastian scoffed.

"Then, what? You drugged him?" He questioned, accusingly, leaning his hands on the table behind him to stabilize himself as he turned to his partner. He didn't see the small smirk playing on her lips as her back was toward him.

Eliza turned to look at her partner. Her intense, daring gaze, did strange things to Sebastian's heart, and as she slowly walked towards him, stopping only a few inches from him, he gulped, suddenly finding it difficult to breath. Her hands reached up, slowly trailing teasingly along the tie around his neck and his knuckles turned white as he gripped the ledge of table tighter. Contrary to his inability to think, he attempted to keep his expression neutral.

Eliza smiled.

"No," She tightened her grip on his tie, pulling it toward her, their faces now only a breath apart. She glanced down at his lips, his eyes following to hers, "I just... got into his head."

Inquiry, a top secret, federal, investigation agency, only accepts cases deemed confidential and unsolvable by local agencies. Partners Sebastian Hayes and Eliza Monroe, the agencies most capable agents, are assigned to a confidential case, the murder of the presidents estranged daughter. The two work together to solve the homicide and uncover a trail of evidence linking to a much more substantial case than originally thought. Sebastian and Eliza must work against a ticking clock to solve the case before anyone else gets hurt, all while juggling the changes in their own personal dynamic, struggling to keep their personal and professional lives separate.
