As the sunset gifted by the Dream Weaver extended itself upon the five territories of the wolves, the pulse of the earth was easily felt as if a giant heart was beating in the deep rock of the cliffs on the Indian Ocean's coastline, stretching upon miles and arriving at the center of the small island thriving beside the border of America.

The strong orange light brushed the fur of the creatures known as the wolves, who haunted the mountains with the crying howls of sorrow. Those of them asked to guard the border quickly scanned the perimiter of their huge amount of land with great efficiency, as their large amber brown eyes were able to see large patches of forest and mountain extending along their home. The expanding rumours are becoming threatening...

The humans would try and attack the wolves ruthlessly, destroying anything in their path- biggest meadow to smallest toadstool. All the wolves could do is hope that they would not spill as much blood as other packs have in the past, creating chaos between their trinity: the Lhight, the Spirits and the Dream Weaver. They couldn't let that happen again... who has the guts to venture out and find out what the humans are planning?

Join Thunder, as he embarks on the quest to seek out how the humans have been obliterating nature so effortlessly. On the way, he will discover many events happen: raging wars, fallen cities, and a great lot more... but can one wolfdog that has only recently become a pack member, make it through the challenges that lay ahead?

My dream continued the one I'd been having for the past couple of nights. I ran, gasping for breath, through the familiar woods from a dark figure behind me. The faster I tried to run, the slower I seemed to go, until it was like I was running in place. I knew I needed to run. I was terrified of what the figure would do when he caught me. "Mara Leigh," a deep, smooth voice called. It was almost hypnotic. That was new. The figure had never spoke before now. I ran as fast as I could go, eyes searching the forest floor for a big stick or something that I could use to defend myself. "Mara Leigh!" the voice came again, this time more insistent. The forest slowly started to fade and I started to awake to someone shaking my shoulders. "Beau?" I mumbled, turning my head to the side. What's Beau doing in my room this time of night? Why is he shaking me? "Do not call me that name." My eyes flew open as I jumped at the voice from my dream. A face was right in front of mine, and just like the voice, it wasn't Beau. Before I could form a scream, a hand covered my mouth. I tried to bite it but I couldn't get my mouth to open. He's too strong. I started to use my whole body to try to get away, but he crawled on top of me, holding me down. I pulled the hidden knife out from under my pillow and slashed as hard as I could at him, but he just grabbed my wrist and squeezed it until the pain made me drop the knife. Then he grabbed both my hands in one of his and held them over my head. He held me down while I struggled. I grunted and moved and tried to kick and scream, but I only wore myself out. Exhausted, I stopped thrashing and let the tears flow freely down my cheeks. I didn't know what to do, so I just tried to prepare myself for whatever was coming.

"Who's out there?" One of the men yelled. Of course only silence met them. I remained quiet and waited for the group to start moving again. "Maybe it was just an animal." Someone whispered. The person, who I assumed was the captain of the small squad, signaled for them to walk again. They clearly showed fear as they kept going; brandishing their weapons to guard themselves with. "Two are holding lanterns. I'll tell you when you're too close to them." I heard my friend whisper in my ear. I followed the men as I picked up another branch and waited for the right time to break it. They continued to walk through the forest, turning their heads in every direction as if an animal might lunge at them and rip their throats out. I guess in a way I was going to do that. "Go back a few feet." My friend whispered. I carefully distanced myself from the group and waited. "Where is she?" I quickly snapped the stick as soon as he finished asking the question. They stopped and two soldiers raised their lanterns to shine its light in the darkness. I quickly hid behind a tree before both of them turned where I was. A low frustrated growl came from one of the men, "The girl's playing with us. She's out here following our every move." How paranoia can cloud the mind. At nine years old, Silver decided to leave her village for the forest. Since then, she's been hunted; everyday is a fight for her life, every breath she takes could be her last, but she's determined to stay alive. Her life isn't the kind anyone would want to live but she's managed to survive this long so, what's a few more years?

Book 1 of The Shadow Series. Myths, that's what the humans called it, but for Ashe it quickly became her reality. Her life changing transformation narrowed her paths down to two; She could either embrace her fates and save the people she's grown to love, or she can walk away and live a somewhat normal life while others suffer the consequences. How far is she willing to go to create peace where there's never been any? Will she even create peace? Or will she help encourage the most brutal war the Shadow Realms have ever experienced? Several years of Asheland's childhood had disappeared from her memory. She assumed it was her brain trying to protect her from a traumatic event, although that's true it's not exactly what she expected and her brain wasn't necessarily the cause. After being homeless until she was sixteen years old, then living in a boat dock for four years, she had finally found her home in a cottage in the near-by mountains of Wolf Creek. Everything seemed to be going well. However, as a list of secrets begin unraveling when Ashe gives in to her overwhelming urges to visit the island that terrified almost every citizen in Wolf Creek, her life becomes more complicated than she could've ever imagined. All of this just because she was turning twenty-one. Nothing was as it had ever seemed. * excerpt from the book * { "Why do you make such reckless, impulsive decisions?" The old man asked as we watched the moon. "The world could end tomorrow and everyone expects me to live in fear today? There's no life to live inside the box of fear, there's no freedom in there," I replied softly. }

When his red stamp hit my card, I couldn't dare look. But those red letters attacked my eyes; Weak. ---------------------- This was the Alpha playing with his food. I could imagine how he would stalk to me, his head high with all his teeth showing. His pure white fur not being touched by the dust he had created when he chased after me. I can only imagine how every step for him would be a leap for me. That blood would hang from his mouth and drip onto the forest floor but not even faze his fangs. I was terrified of him. Even if I couldn't bring myself to mention it, to be weak and choose to submit. These thoughts kept me running, the invisible echo of a laugh that wasn't really there stayed in my ear, even though he was nowhere to be. ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• He was terrifying, but yet, at he same time he was safe. almost a hundred years ago, the beasts in the shadows, known as werewolves, made themselves known, their attack was so unexpected, no one even knew they existed till the night sky was blazing a deep orange with the fires from destruction across the world as they completely ravaged different areas of powers. Humans were no match to counter them so suddenly, countless lives were lost on both sides, mostly on the humans. Humans were more resilient than the beasts expected, meaning the war that began lasted much longer, surprising the murderous creatures that had sought to crush any and all resistance from the humans. Their beasts were determined to make the world run on their instinctual and genetic hierarchy, to them it was the best way to live one with the world, saying it was a given right of life from their precious 'moon goddess'. But despite losing the main war for control, human determination was not so easily squashed out, a resistance was set up in areas that lacked wolf control over the globe. The world was split and changed to suit the bests, pack territories drawn out, all unified under the council of unified supreme alphas, each having control over a different continent, though luckily for humans wolves liked to stick in their communities, which left many islands and smaller land masses open for human control, only visited once every year by patrols, meaning the rebellion had different hidden bases all over. But what happens when the alpha supreme Damien Steele, the scariest of the seven supreme alphas, finds his mate. A human girl, and not just any human girl. Ashley Harper, otherwise known as the rebellions 'ghost' Will the two learn to work out their differences after finding out the moon goddess has linked their souls as mates, both too stubborn to submit easily. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "I know you're here little ghost...I can smell your scent everywhere" "then why don't you try catching me, coward" "oh darling...with pleasure~"
