It has been roughly 20 years since the end of a global conflict lasting well over a century known as the Chrome Conflict. The long, brutal war waged between the people on Earth versus a nefarious programmer named Darius Leads, whose consciousness has been rendered into a computer since 2352. With the war over, the survivors are hard at work rebuilding. With the help of global and interplanetary mega-corporations, the world is nominally restored, at least in the once-prosperous metropolises of the old world. Thanks in great part to the conflicts, scientific progress in almost all fields has been pushed beyond what was thought capable back in the 2100s. Cybernetics, energy production, medicine, terraforming, etc. are all capable, if not nearly mastered. With the coming of terraformation, the energy and entertainment megacorp known as Phaethon Energy was the first to establish a Weather Control System in the Sahara desert. With the stabilizing effects of a temperate climate, cities and homes began to crop up like weeds upon the changing Saharan steppe. A cunning and ambitious young man readies himself to brand the frontier with his name (Jay Harlow). With an unlikely ally, the bastard son of a wealthy technocrat (Richard Willon). In there efforts, they are sure to provoke the ire of the megacorps, and whatever else still lingered in the post war world.
