"He's just like you Damian," my mother said.
I rubbed my forehead "he's my clone! Of course he's just like me," I answered. She smiled and laughed "now it's your turn to clean up after yourself. It's fun being a parent isn't it?" She said.
Damian is a 27 year old man with already too many regrets in his life. He's been working with scientist to perfect the act of cloning. As Damian ponders on what his life has become he gets an idea. If he clones himself he can live the life he wanted through James, his clone. He can give himself a second chance to be what he could never be. That is if he can keep up with the troubles that come with raising yourself.

He wants the world to know what they have been through and he wants the scientists to burn for what they did. "Grab that plate and throw it on the floor." I told him, handing him a plate. "Why am I---" "Just do it!" I yelled, trying to hold back the tears. He looked at me and took the plate from my hand, making careful moves so he didn't touch the tips of my fingers. "Throw it on the ground." I told him. I watched as he threw it down on the ground, pieces of one of my moms plates going everywhere. "Okay. Now what?" He asked me, a hint of impatience in his voice. I walked up to him so we were old inches apart, our noses almost touching. It would be so easy to just kiss him right now.... "Now say your sorry." I whispered to him, letting a tear slip. I felt his gentle hands wrap around me and pull me in closer. Our foreheads touched as he whispered the faithful words, "I'm sorry." I pulled away from him, making sure I didn't cut myself on the sharp shards of glass. "Did it go back to the way it was before?" I asked him, angry tears rolling freely down my face now. How could he do this to me? I am--was--his mate. He looked at me with a sad expression and then looked down. Strangled, he whispered, "No." "Do you understand now how my heart broke when I found out?
