Adelia and Silas are finally together, but still apart. Adelia has a hard time adjusting to her new life and to all the revelations. Silas has a hard time dealing with the ongoing war. He doesn't know how to ask Adelia for help as her past still lies close to the present and trusting her is hard, even though he doesn't want it to be.

The mated couple do have a shared goal: ending the war. They both have strong motives to end the chaos that caused them both so much harm. Adelia and Silas have to work together and to make that work they need to be honest. But we all know that honesty isn't easy and very costly.
