Sang Sorenson was born bearing the Goddess's Diadem. While normally the Diadem is a sign of the Goddess's love and grace, Sang was raised knowing hers only reflected the Goddess's wrath.
When she is torn from her life of pain and fear, she has to face that everything she had ever been taught was wrong. The promise of love and happiness is right in front of her, if she can be brave enough to embrace it.
All the while, forces of evil are swirling, waiting for the chance to use her Goddess granted power to destroy everything she cares for.

This is a Ghost Bird fanfiction inspired VERY loosely on the Girl of Fire and Thorns series by Rae Carson. I haven't read the GoFaT books in a good ten years or so, so I'm just stealing and adapting some bits and pieces of the lore I remember. You don't need to have read the series for this to make sense, but you will probably be very confused if you aren't familiar with C. L. Stone's Ghost Bird series.
I'm tagging this as mature to be safe. I might remove it later, I dunno. It's a Ghost Bird fanfic, so there will strong language (Gabe's gotta Gabe) and mentions of abuse (Step-Monster's gotta monster). If anything gets explicit, I'll post a warning, but don't be afraid to let me know if I miss something I should stick a trigger warning on.

Sang's Rebirth
Nine boys saved Sang from her abusive home. Nine boys loved her, and she loved them. But nine boys wouldn't let her learn to stand on her own two feet. Nine boys had her on a pedestal and was keeping her chaste and innocent until they decided it was just puppy love and they wanted a mature relationship. They'd grown apart or so they thought. Sang leaves on her own to find her own way and stand on her own two feet. She runs into the Toma team who treat her like a woman, and the Blackbourne team is realizing their mistake.
