ALLEGRA LUISANA SANTOS, the most optimistic girl in her town, exuded a positive aura wherever she went. To maintain this positivity, she channeled her anger into hockey. Since she was a child, Allegra and her best friend Julie Gaffney had been known as the FELINE DUO in Bangor, Maine, their cat-like skills catching the eye of Team USA recruiters. Now, they were on their way to Minneapolis to meet the other members.
