Tragedy brought him when he found out his family was dead when he and Tanjiro were selling charcoals but one miracle happen when Nezuko was alive, but infected with demon blood. Garou developed hatred towards demons and became a demon hunter, using his martial arts "Water Stream Rock Smashing Fist" that he remembered when he was in his previous world to battle against demons and bring justice to his family's death.
