Buck and Eddie have always had such a special bond that everyone wishes they had in a person. Someone that is just their person inside and out. Everything changes in a blink of an eye, and Buck suddenly feels he has to fight every part of himself to get better, mentally and physically. And Eddie has been there helping Buck pick up the pieces after his accident. During the fight for his life, Buck also realized his true feelings for someone. But during his healing, he also gets a shocking surprise. One that just might give Buck the push he needed in his life to keep pushing forward. After helping Buck pick up the broken pieces of his suffering, what will happen between the two? Will their sparks ignite into something more? Or will those same broken pieces only break them apart. "When do I get to be happy, Eddie? When do I get to have what I want? Where do I find this person?" Buck almost sobs. Eddie is so fucking done holding back; he's done watching Buck be mistreated; he's done hiding who he is; he's done hiding how he feels; he's so fucking beyond done with not having Buck where he belongs. Eddie makes his choice; it's time. "Maybe they are closer than you think, Buck," Eddie whispers into Buck's ear. Buck stiffens, and Eddie doesn't panic. He waits it out. Buck takes a deep breath and tightens his hold around Eddie's ribs. Buck leans back and looks into Eddie's eyes. Eddie reaches up and wipes the tear away from under Buck's eye.
