Ranking. Pairing. Deciding. Tolerating. Wakahisa Yumiko was already tired from it all. Fifteen years of being pushed around as the authorities and soulless machines decided the course of her life just made her so sick. She wasn't fond of being pushed around either. This she got from her parents who were reported as rebels in the system they called "Mother", or one she developed herself as she lived the life of a doll, a doll among many for the country's sake. "Mother" was the perfect system that humankind has ever created. It lied in the heart of the perfect city in Japan called Korina which was previously the capital of Japan in the twentieth century. But it was the fortieth century now so that would be a long time ago. Every citizen in Japan relied on the system like it really was their mother. They never doubted it and whoever even showed a sign of doubting the 'perfect' system were thrown out of the country to live on their own. They were called rebels and no rebel has ever been known to survive after being labeled as such. The authorities were like gods. No one would disobey them. And it's not like anyone would either. They never did anything wrong so the citizens loved them. They obeyed the system to a perfect T. But there was a flaw in this system. Yumiko was determined to uncover it as much as she wanted her partner to die in hell even if he had his own use to her goals. This story is narrated through Yumiko's point of view with the occasional third person view. All Rights Reserved
