في أحدِ أركانِ المدينةِ الصامتةِ، كانتْ **روانق** و**ملائك** تنموانِ معًا تحتَ ظلالِ السنينِ، تُشاركانِ في كلِّ تفاصيلِ حياتِهما منذُ نعومةِ أظفارهما. كانتا تعكسانِ صورةَ الصداقةِ النقيةِ، لكن خلفَ الابتساماتِ والضحكاتِ الطفوليةِ كان يختبئُ جانبٌ مظلمٌ لكلٍّ منهما، جانبٌ قاسٍ لا يعلمُهُ سوى قلبيهما.
مرَّتِ السنواتُ، وكبرتَا، لكنْ تلكَ الظلالُ التي كانتْ تطاردهما بدأتْ تزدادُ ثقلًا، ولم يعُد بإمكانهما الهروبُ منها. شيئًا فشيئًا، انقلبتْ حياتُهما رأسًا على عقبٍ، لتجدَ كلُّ واحدةٍ منهما نفسَها محاصرةً في دوامةٍ من الأحداثِ المظلمةِ والقراراتِ القاسيةِ، حيثُ لم يعدْ هناكَ مكانٌ للنقاءِ، وأصبحَ الحلمُ بالهروبِ مجردَ سرابٍ.
