Discipline in the Private Office of the Founder

Mr Tan, founder and CEO of one of Asia's largest companies, met Christina in "Discipline at the Grand Hotel". Christina, the General Manager of the hotel, had taken responsibility for the late arrival of the driver to meet his plane and, at her suggestion, Mr Tan had punished her in the way that their shared Asian heritage demanded - with a caning.

Since then, Mr Tan had been impressed with Christina every time he visited the hotel, valuing her attention to detail and the discipline she had instilled in the staff. This story begins a year after their first meeting, with Mr Tan asking Christina to join him in his suite to discuss a matter of great importance.
