Title: A Demon Seeking Peace

Description:

In a realm where darkness reigns and demons are feared, Malakar stands apart-a demon haunted by his past and longing for redemption. Once a harbinger of chaos, he has chosen a path of peace, determined to protect the village that offered him sanctuary. As he grapples with his identity, the remnants of his dark powers threaten to pull him back into the shadows.

When Vespera, a malevolent force from his past, resurfaces with a chilling ultimatum, Malakar must confront not only her darkness but his own inner demons. With the support of newfound friends and a burgeoning love, he embarks on a journey to prove that even the most tormented souls can find light. But as alliances shift and threats loom, Malakar must confront the ultimate question: Can a demon truly change, or is he forever bound to the darkness?

In this gripping tale of transformation, sacrifice, and the quest for belonging, "Demon Seeking Peace" explores the complexities of identity and the enduring power of hope. Will Malakar find peace, or will the shadows claim him once more?

The Greylands: Modern Edition by SusanSkylark
1 part Complete
A land of shadows, of mystery, of obfuscated Truth. Welcome to the Greylands, that strange world, within the bounds of Time, peopled by mortal men. We cannot see truly, only as through a glass, darkly. There are things that move and have their being completely beyond our ability to perceive them. There are things beyond our mortal ability to comprehend. There are hints and glimmers hidden within the body of revealed Truth, but there is much we do not know, cannot yet understand, and could never dare dream. These stories are mere fancy, with a seed of Truth at their core. They play with the ideas of mortality and Eternity, Time and things beyond it, and of course the epic battle of Good against Evil. Each stands alone, and though there are common themes, threads, names, and concepts, each story is an entity unto itself and should not be seen as occurring in the same world or mistaken for installments of a series. These are random musings, not Gospel Truth, and should not be taken as such. Joy, hope, and encouragement are hopefully a byproduct, but certainly not sound Theology. If you would know more of the true world beyond these Greylands, one must be a careful student of the Scriptures, not of silly stories such as these. While still fairytales, these stories are set in modern surroundings rather than the land of Faerie! Each story is unique unto itself, and doesn't reference any other story, world or character elsewhere.
Cursed Blessings: Tales of Twisted Fates by Subtle_wind
9 parts Ongoing Mature
On a remote place on Earth, a boy with strange abilities is looked at, not as a prodigy, but as a monster. The blessings of two powerful bloodlines instead worked against him like a curse. This is the reality for Ayan, who seeks answers-about the mysterious girl in his dreams, the truth behind his parents, and the meaning of his strange powers. Engaging with secret organization and mafia, his journey leads him to uncharted terrains outside the known map into the world of cultivation. In this mysterious terrain, curses often bring prosperity, while boons may deliver doom. Ayan navigates this treacherous landscape full of miraculous beings, dangerous artifacts and strange creatures determined to reach his goal, declaring: "Willing to do anything that men should and should not. Willing to offer myself - and another hundred lives, if need be." Besides cultivation, mysterious methods prevail: killing someone from distance, deadly curses and divine endowment are not unusual but the question remains: 'What would you sacrifice for ultimate power?' Starting chapters are slow-paced plot-wise. Please bear with them as the story will get more and more interesting. About Harem: MC definitely has more than one partner and several interests. But, don't expect the story to focus too much on harem. If you want an unchanging, good-for-all mc, then this it's not you're cup of tea. Heart of Sparrow

56 parts Ongoing

[UPDATES ONCE A WEEK] A young girl must rely on her estranged father to help her return an Orisha's heart, but as she taps into its power, she finds herself drawn to its dangerous magic. *** Sparrow Winslow discovers an old picture of her late mother with a crooked businessman. Convinced the man is her biological father, she tracks him down and learns more than she bargains for. Not only is he her father, but a vampire, which means she'll be coming into her fangs any day. But complications arise when he also explains her witchy mother stole the heart of an African goddess, enabling her life. Armed with a reincarnated bestie and a ruggedly strict, but dashing Guardian, Sparrow is forced on the run as every supernatural overlord seeks to take the goddess's heart for themselves. The only way to escape this nightmare is to return what her mother stole...her very heart. But that means Sparrow will have to remain a drab and medicated vampire and relinquish her divinely witch nature to the Orisha. Each time she casts a spell, Sparrow tastes her newfound abilities and it's secretly delicious. It isn't long before she fears becoming just like the monsters who are chasing after her heart. Will she sacrifice her ancient power to restore balance? Or will magic consume her good intentions the same way it did her mother?
