In a world ravaged by low wages and poor conditions, Kris, a human in a town of monsters struggles to find their place in it all... Their Father and Brother out of town after a messy divorce from their mother... And a Mother overworked by her job, and drinking her sorrows away.. leaves Kris the problem child, to their own childish and foolish devices, doing small misdemeanours around town with the local daughter of the Mayor, Noelle Holiday....
However... After a rough Spring Break.. Kris' daily monotony takes a shocking turn, after the introduction of a new face... Susie... And shortly after meeting her... Kris and Susie are plunged into a world beyond their comprehension, a parallel of their real world struggles and problems...
A parallel world... Yet very... Very different.... Housing creatures known as Darkners... As the Prophecy unknown to these two students... Is revealed... And Must be fulfilled.... Will they make it in this bleak world?....

This story takes place after the events of the pacifist ending of Undertale, where all the monsters have already left the underground. However, that won't stop problems from starting again; Frisk and his friends will have to face a new threat.
