On the day of Emma's arrival, Storybrooke's pawn shop owner wakes up from Regina's curse. When he remembers that his sole employee was once his companion from the Enchanted forest, he'll have to wake up every day and go to work as usual, pretending he barely knows her, and pretending he has no memory of the terrible things he did to her in another life.

This story is completely self indulgent, I imagine the storylines every time I rewatch the show. Please keep in mind that though the character is described as 'young and naive' that both parties are consenting adults and the relationship (eventually) is completely legal.
