Just when she's decided to leave the Town, Lady Cressida Belverst is forced to marry Lord Calan Haverston, the man who coincidentally knows a way out. Agreeing to marry for all the wrong reasons, can Cressida and Calan find out where their hearts truly belong? *** It is impossible to leave the Town, but one woman is determined to escape with the help of her betrothed. Lady Cressida Belverst has always been judged as a walking scandal. Oh, how she tries (on some rare occasions) to be proper! When her parents arrange for her to marry a rich lord, Cressida has had enough. She has to leave the Town because she will not be forced to live with a man she doesn't love. But what happens if the very man she's betrothed to is the only one who can help her get out? Calan Haverston, the Lord of Easton, takes the risk and helps his betrothed by using his knowledge of the Town's secrets because he is as willing as she to stay free of marriage for reasons completely different. He has dark secrets he cannot share with her, and his life is not one he can likewise open to anyone. But what happens when she leaves after awakening desires he thought he has under control? And what happens when he finds himself longing for her? Cressida goes to a completely different place, one she has only heard in stories and read in books, with hopes of finding what her heart has always longed for. But love, mystery and secrets will chase her and it will only be a matter of time before she realizes what her heart truly desires. *This story is a standalone title in the Haverston Family series.

The museum was buzzing with excitement. Prerna Agarwal, a college student, walked through its grand halls . This trip was supposed to be a fun escape, but something about this place felt like it was calling to her. The highlight of the museum was an ancient portrait that had just been uncovered. It was still being restored, with only the middle part cleaned. Prerna pushed through the crowd to get a closer look. Her heart stopped. The woman in the painting looked exactly like her. The guide's voice carried through the room, explaining the story behind the portrait. "This is Princess Shivanya Maheshwari, known for her beauty and wisdom. But her life ended in betrayal. History says she was accused of treason and killed by a ruthless prince-Prithviraj Kshatriya ." Prerna couldn't stop staring. How could someone from centuries ago look just like her? Unable to resist, she sneaked back into the museum after hours. She made her way to the portrait . As she stood before the painting, a strange energy filled the air. The room seemed to shift, and a sudden gust of wind surrounded her. Before she could step back, a bright light engulfed her, and everything went dark. When Prerna opened her eyes, she wasn't in the museum anymore. she looked down at herself and gasped. She was wearing a heavy royal outfit, her arms covered in gold bangles. She wasn't Prerna Agarwal anymore. She was Princess Shivanya Maheshwari. Prerna remembered the tragic end the princess was supposed to face. "I won't let history repeat itself," she whispered to herself. But things quickly became complicated. She soon met Prithviraj Kshatriya, the prince history had labeled as her killer. He was intimidating, his sharp eyes filled with anger and mystery. But time was running out. The tragic end she knew was approaching fast, and Prerna had to find a way to change it. Could she rewrite history and save herself? Or would she be trapped in the same fate as Princess Shivanya?

This was my first time. I patiently waited for the man Dua Begum told me would be my first to bed with. After starting to bleed two years ago, my stepmother left me at a pleasure house when my father abandoned us. Since then, I've accepted the pleasure house as my new home. He walked in a black Kurta with subtle green eyes and a deep voice. The moment he asked my name and age and then proposed to me for the wedding, I fell in love. There was no denying it. I was just fifteen, and he was nineteen. But, ever since the night of our wedding, he has not come back to take me with him to his home. He left me alone, stranded, burning for him. I did not know who he was. What did he do? All I knew was that he was the soul of my World. My Jaan-e-Jahan. Seven years later, he came back as a storm in my life. As Sultan Rehman Sulaiman. The son of the man who took everything from my family, even before my birth. The reason I ended up in the Pleasure House in the first place. But my love for my husband, the Sultan, is bigger than the mountains, deeper than the oceans, and wider than the skies, even though he is himself a Mountain, impossible to move, an ocean, scaring people to stay away, and a wide sky, impossible to reach. Discipline is everything for him. He is full of love and respect for his family but equally heartless and dangerous toward those who cross him. And, in all of this, I entered his life as a burning flame, a tiny candle's flame, dancing for his attention, crying for his affection, and dying for his love. Until he killed my only loved one. My love died. And, his never bloomed. I was once a bud, unbloomed Rose, who opened my deep red petals for him, and he turned them black, leaving me forgotten inside the dying pages. Was I always forgotten for him? Did he never consider me anything more than a mere responsibility? Will I always be remembered as Bride of Sultan ~ The Forgotten Rose? "Zayn please." She sobbed. I hated seeing her cry, but what was even worse is that it was always me that made her cry. "Please, leave me alone." She wiped her tears furiously with the the sleeves of her top. I couldn't let her go now, not after everything we've been through. The laughs, the jokes and even the fights. "I can drop out of it right now. Just please, please let me explain." I said softly, brushing my hands against her wet cheek. She stepped back and shook her head, "no Zayn. It's not about whether u stop this crap or not, it's about what you've been doing to me behind my back all this time!" She said, raising her voice a little. "Just leave me alone. And everything will be fine." She added. This was my chance to tell her how I feel, to tell her what's been going on in my mind, to tell her my feelings towards her. "I-I..." I sighed and bit my lip to stop myself from crying. "Good bye Zayn." And with that, she turned around to walk away. "But I love you..." I whispered quietly, but loud enough for Skylynn to stop in her tracks.
