In the year 2024, the world is ravaged by a relentless apocalypse as monstrous beings emerging from human greed, heralding an era of chaos and destruction. Amidst this turmoil, a young boy named Zephyr whose skin black as the deepest night is thrust into a life marked by loss and survival. With his parents killed in battle against the encroaching monsters Zephyr is left to navigate a world torn apart by conflict.

Taken in by the formidable walls of Sanctum, one of humanity's last bastion, Zephyr is trained as a soldier under the harshest conditions. Despite his efforts, Sanctum's leaders see little potential in him, viewing him as just another recruit or so they thought....
