Not all stories start with an amazing call to action. Not all stories have characters knowing that they are chosen for a quest. And not all stories even begin in a happy place. Well, at least mine didn't. No, my story didn't begin happily nor did it have this great call to action. No, my story started in my room. Me in a cold sweat from the same nightmare that has plagued me since Leo went missing about 1 year ago. Leo is my... Leo was my best friend and... Why did he have to leave?
(Updates will be inconsistent. I hope you like what I am writing and hopefully this gives me the motivation to continue cause I have a practically this whole story wrote in my head.)

WORK IN PROGRESS‼️ ─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ── There was no noise; I was at peace, and ironically, the stone-cold pavement never seemed warmer as my blood oozed out of me and around me like a painted canvas. I was slowly losing consciousness, but my mind never seemed happier now that I was dying. The white walls with big bright lights did not resemble heaven; in fact, it was quite the opposite. I thought I had died. When I came to, I found myself in this strange place, disoriented and confused. I looked around and found another five pairs of eyes looking at me with the same emotion swirling in their gaze. Now, 15 years later, I train with these girls. Our makers take care of us, feed us, and make sure we are clean, healthy, and fit. Some of us never had that; that's probably why it took so long for us to realize we were being used. The dirty work they made us do, none of us questioned it. How could we when we were taken off the streets? For a chance at normalcy, we settled for anything, even if that meant blurring the lines of right and wrong. After a mission gone haywire, we started noticing, and now we strike back to take our voices and reclaim the power that was used on us as a way to control us. It's literally four in the morning but Mark said we couldn't go to sleep without watching all three of them and whenever my eyes drooped for more than two seconds, he woke me up again. Leo moves first and I whine as my body is exposed to the freezing cold air. He lifts me gently and I wrap around him like a koala bear, he's warm and the air is cold. "The one on the right is yours, Martha took your bags up for you." Leo holds me effortlessly and carries me all the way to the bedroom, I'm almost lulled to sleep by the slow sway of his body. "Don't you want to put your pyjamas on?" He asks me as I refuse to let go of him when we get to the room. I'm not exactly wearing comfy clothes but I'm so tired. "Floss, you're gonna regret it later." "I know, you're just comfy." I force myself to slide off of him and he kisses my head when I pout at him. I pick up my bag and wander into the bathroom to wash my face and refresh my hair before changing into a pair of leggings and a loose long-sleeve top. I check with Leo if I can come in just in case he's changing before crawling into the warm cotton bed. He drops in next to me with a groan, his back probably hurts from sitting in awkward positions for the last few hours. I curl into his side with my head on his chest and his arms wrapped tightly around me. I could sleep like this more often.Complete
Crushed Underneath the Surface
For years, I've been writing in silence, creating worlds, characters, and stories that lived only in the margins of my notebooks and tucked-away folders on my computer. Writing has always been my escape, something I've done for myself-a way to step out of reality for a moment and breathe through the lives of the people I've imagined. I've written and rewritten countless stories, always hesitant to share them, never quite confident enough to let anyone else peek into the depths of my mind. But deep down, I've carried a quiet dream of becoming a writer, even though it felt a little foolish to hope for something so big. Handsome. That was as far as she would go in complimenting him considering this guy held a knife to her throat. When he spoke, his voice came out like thunder. I was never appreciated for who I was. I was tossed aside and left to rot for a mistake I made many years ago, a mistake that haunted me my entire life.
