Subject 8 is a scorpion being held in a lab most of his life, he posses a cruel and deathly nature with extraordinary powers.

Sofia a sweet college student gets offered a job at the lab she goes in not knowing what to expect because after all Chimera labs has many rumors nobody knowing what goes on behind the huge black doors and electric fences.

"What even is a mate?" I ask him completely confused at why he keeps calling me that.

He tilts his head at your question, a flicker of surprise crossing his expression. "A mate," he echoes, his voice a low, deep hum. "A mate is much more than a companion or ally. A mate is... a soul connection, a bond beyond words. To have a mate is to have someone who completes you, someone who understands you on a deeper level."

He moves closer to you, his gaze locking with yours. "And you, my beauty... you are my mate. My other half, bound to me for eternity."
