In the summer of '85, Billy Hargrove is used to girls falling at his feet, and his summer job as a lifeguard at the community pool only inflates his ego and reputation. But what happens when he falls to his own feet for someone who doesn't know their own strength...for destruction?

That same summer, Darcy Valentín actually enjoyed living in Hawkins her whole life. She even tolerates the new, but irritating lifeguard at the community pool. But when people start disappearing, fingers are pointing at her, and secrets begin unravelling, she has no choice but to clear her name and discover the truth... only that the truth is not so far from her as it seems.
