""Y/n L/n!" Effie Trinket spoke from the stage microphone and smiling ear to ear and showing off her perfect pearly white teeth in a row. Her voice echoed a few times in the background from the loud speakers, but it felt like eternity for me.
Y/N L/N is a very high-spirited and adventurous
15-year old girl who wants to explore the totalitarian nation of Panem, like any other teenager stuck underground would want to. In the condition of living in the district 13 you have to follow numerous rules, including freedom and opportunity to explore the unknown world. And it ultimately crushes her dreams of being able to do anything at all. But lucky for her, she doesn't like obeying people, so she always finds ways to escape the system.
For background, Y/n is a loner without any friends or blood relatives at all. It might sound depressing, but Y/n has learned to cope with it. After all, she has Marilyn! Marilyn is an old lady from room 542, so basically next door neighbor. She's like a mother for her, being always there for Y/n. She took her in when Y/n was just an infant, barely even walking or being able to survive on her own. And Marilyn has taken care of her ever since, treating as if she was one of her own.
Y/n has never dared to question her past, until the day of her sixteenth birthday when she gets chosen to represent district 12 as a tribute. Will Y/n ever know what happened to her parents? Will she win the hunger games, or does her feelings get in the way? Will she get the ending she deserves or pain and misery in the afterlife?

To add to the storyline, I mixed yours and Peeta's place. But not overall! You two still have your own personalities, but you are more like in Peeta's shoes. ( If you're reading this, it means you're interested so just give the book a chance! )
