LOLLY is a fun fantasy for kids of all ages who don't always fit in and/or struggle with belonging. Think "Princess Bride" but with a handsome and kind king. Plus, there's the gallant guardsmen...the big bad bandits (Bog, Hog, Log and Fred-he's adopted)...and a royal castle complete with all sorts of quirky characters. Also includes the crazy cooking witches who are addicted to coffee and card games. Most importantly, is Lolly, the petite witch with a huge heart-who, with her cheery cherry cheesecakes with lots of pink frosting-learns where she truly belongs. My first review!!: "Lolly is a really fun read, and as stated, good for kids of all ages. It paints a picture, using imaginative, descriptions, and astounding, artful alliterations. What was really interesting for me in reading this as an adult is that it is written in joyful spirit. It's fun the whole time. Of course there's dramatic tension, but if you grab any page at all and read it, it's lovely. It's happy. It really creates a sustaining positive state in the reader. The characters are inventive and visual as you see it in your mind. I think it would work for little kids, as a great story to read to them over several nights. It would be good for older kids. And is an adult kid I liked it a lot." [Lolly is now available on Amazon in paperback, hardcover or kindle ebook. The following is an excerpt.]
