Paul pulled his hood tighter around his face as he weaved through the narrow, dimly lit streets of the city. The sun had long dipped below the horizon, leaving only the faint glow of old, flickering street lamps to guide his way. Shadows danced along the brick walls, and the occasional sound of dripping water echoed through the silence. Paul wasn't supposed to be out this late, but tonight, something had drawn him out into the darkness-a feeling he couldn't shake, like something was waiting for him in the alleys.

Without the mask you are scared and worry of your past, that people will find out who you are, what happened to you. You are scared that people will reject you even more. So you hide all your pain behind a fake smile. The smile that HE is confused about. You also forgot how to love because of that terrible...
