A few days before Christmas, Kimberly would like not to be forced to stop working. Because holidays are just a hindrance to her business.
She is the CEO of Independent Powerful Motors, a prestigious multinational car engine company, and she cannot afford to postpone the acquisition of WST-Cars, a famous car manufacturer on the verge of bankruptcy.
And she won't, because work is more important than anything else.
After giving the last instructions to her right-hand man, she leaves the building, late at night. But just as she speeds through the streets of San Francisco, arguing with the radio that insists on always broadcasting the same Christmas song, she finds herself catapulted not only out of the car, but also into a parallel life.
A life she could have spent in Michigan, if only ten years earlier she had not taken that plane to California, abandoning her family and, above all, Scott.
With disbelief, anger, pain and fear, Kimberly will have to spend the days before Christmas in the only place where she never wanted to set foot again. But fate, or whatever on its behalf, allows her to take a peek into the life of a Kim who has not become a famous entrepreneur, cynical, eager for success and unbridled luxury, but everything she never thought she wanted to become...
What if she likes all this now? Would there be the possibility of asking Santa Claus to stay in that parallel life?
Life is made of choices. If you do the wrong one, there is always the possibility of remedying. Always. Perhaps there will be no turning back, but at least a change of direction. Just listen to your heart, the only compass able to show you the exact coordinates.
