PROLOGUE Mesmerized. That was the only word I could think of as I watched her. Her eyes glowed like the clear blue sea, flecked with hints of gold that shimmered in the sunlight as if the sun itself was shining just for her. Her smile captivated everyone around her, lighting up the world as she danced through the sunflower fields. With each graceful movement, she brushed her hand gently against the sun-kissed petals, leaving them swaying in her wake. And her laugh-oh, that laugh. I would do anything, be anything, just to be the reason that beautiful sound escaped her lips. That was the first time I ever caught a glimpse of her. The day I made a silent vow to myself-to make her mine. I didn't know how or when, or even why I craved her attention so desperately. But what I did know was that I had to have that goddess in my arms. My soul screamed for her as though she was the only woman who existed in this world. Was it love? Was it lust? Heaven only knows. But time-time will tell.

*sneak a peek* I turned to see her standing in the doorway, her eyes wide with wonder. I let out a sigh of relief, my tension dissipating at the sight of her. "What are you doing here at this hour?" she asked, her voice low, but with a hint of frustration, as if I had disturbed her peaceful evening. I kept my tone low, the frustration rising within me like a simmering storm. "I just heard a thrilling news, and I had to come and congratulate you in person," I said, my words dripping with sarcasm. I took a step closer, closing the distance between us, my eyes locked on hers with an unnerving intensity. I lowered my voice, my words barely above a whisper, but they seemed to reverberate through the air like a scream. "You know? To pretend I'm not dying inside." The words hung in the air like a dark confession, and I could see the shock register on her face. **** ~Read the prologue to understand what the story is all about.
