How Did We Get Here?

A story that came up in my head when I was trying to make DHMIS ocs soo its inspired by:

the cast list:
Mari (A black cat guy, inspired by my moms cat. he has black fur and yellow eyes. he wears a dress shirt with a bowtie and just some dress pants. depending on the time of the story, he is missing part of his left arm.)
Reggie (a shortish guy with a floating spiral for a head. he wears a black and white T-shirt and white shorts. three of his limbs are black and one is white.)
Maple (a young lady, has two long pigtails and a triangle nose. with her normal body she wears a black dress with like shoulders of the dress missing. other times she is stitched on a stuffed animal body that is all black. also she is missing an eye)
Eden (normally has the black stuffed animal body with their own head on it. their head is all black besides for four eyes. other times their head is stitched onto Maples body.)
That Guy ( a very tall shadow figure. silent.)

and of course

Mister (The teacher. wears the same rainbow vest over a dress shirt and dress pants everyday. has long hair that covers his eyes and has shark teeth.)
