Author's POV:

Fariz Zafar stood in the corridor beside his classroom door, waiting for someone. He leaned against the railings with his hands on either side, looking effortlessly handsome.

Just then, Javeria passed by and was reluctantly stopped.

"Javeria, has Hazel arrived yet?" he asked.

"I guess she's late today," Javeria replied, then added,
"I was waiting for her too. By the way, why did you ask?"

"I was waiting for her as well,"
he replied, scratching the back of his head.

Hazel khan's POV:

With my belongings secured in the corner locker, I turned, just to be met with him pinning me against it, the shock making my breath hitch.

I attempted to move, to create space, but he effectively blocked my escape.

One hand settled beside my head, the other hovering near my waist, trapping me.
His face was a breath away, the proximity alone sending my mind reeling.

"Wh--," I managed to whisper.

"Zafar, hmm?" His voice, deep and resonant, vibrated through me, a chilling caress.

"I... I also asked you to step aside back then," I stammered, my eyes flitting nervously around the room.

"Do you enjoy this so much that you're unwilling to let me move Now?" he questioned, his words causing my eyes to widen in surprise.

"And my eyes are up here,"
he corrected, lifting my chin with the cool face of his watch. He avoided touching my skin, yet the sensation left me flustered.
