This poem is about ending a situationship. The mistakes that were made and how you grieve, trying to take them back. It's about a one-sided love and the acceptance, that you will never end up together. You wish you would've done better. But in the end it wouldn't have made a difference. You were their lesson and they were yours. And it hurts-but it's for the better!

What started as an innocent lie, trapped them into a marriage, entwining their fates with unexpected partners. But here's the catch, the marriage won't last forever, the holy bond wasn't so holy, a contractual bond emerged, benefitted them both and bound them together, at least for a while. Falling in love was thrown out of the window the moment she signed the contract, she wasn't going to fall in love with an egoistic, arrogant and self-centred-asshole of a lawyer anyways. β€’β€’β€’ "No love drama, right?" "I'd rather die."

Her hand trembles when she is about to sign the marriage papers. The very mention of the word marriage reminds her of her past, her first marriage. She had not even peacefully come out of her previous toxic marriage and she is pushing herself into the same hell again. But then fighting with her thoughts, she takes a deep breath and signs the marriage papers and a tear comes out of her eyes as she is not ready to face again all that she faced in her previous marriage. β—‡β—‡β—‡β—‡β—‡β—‡β—‡ " Never forget, the day you break even a single rule of this marriage, I will divorce you and after that you know the consequences." He says after signing their marriage papers And his heart feels heavy as he says these insensitive words to her because after getting her he cannot even think of divorcing her, Divorcing her, isn't even the last thing he would do but still he has no other option except putting this condition before her. And there after hearing his words she looks at him with her blank eyes. Book start : 25.01.2025

Featured by AmbassadorIN Being someone's first love may be great, but to be their last is beyond perfect I loved him since college. We got married and lived a peaceful life in each other's shadow. Our life was perfect until... He fell for her. The perfect woman in his eyes. And abandoned me. He broke me. I stood by him. He hurt me. I stifled my cries. He replaced me. I stood in their shadows watching them fall more for each other. He loathed me as I was the other woman... The Unwanted Rose
