After escaping Arkham Asylum for the hundredth time, infamous supervillains Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy elude the pursuing GCPD and their persistent arch-nemesis Batman following their daring nightly escape, living in seclusion together in Ivy's hidden safehouse and proclaiming their unconditional love for each other, vowing to protect each other as Harley lives haunted by the echoes of her past abusive relationship with the sadistic and uncaring Joker, striving to reinvent herself in the skeptical eyes of the ruthless Gotham criminal underworld and gain her independence as the Clown Princess of Crime and sever her ties with Joker permanently, unaware he's secretly plotting to eliminate her for betraying him.
