Minato and Kushina are expecting twins. The Kyuubie that was previously sealed inside of Kushina breaks free and kills both Minato and Kushina. Before they die Minato seals ha;f of the kyuubie in his children, Naruto and Fumiko. When the third hokage promises to take care of them he hands Fumiko to one of the anbu with him. That anbu was a fake and ran away with Fumiko. The man was soon killed by Zabuza. Zabuza for some reason took a liking to Fumiko and raised her. He trains her and Haku together.
